Cybercrime (BS)

The Cybercrime (BS) program explores the complexities of digital criminal activity, including hacking, fraud, identity theft, and cyberterrorism. Students will learn about digital forensics, cybersecurity measures, and legal frameworks essential to combating cyber threats.

Coursework includes subjects like network security, criminal law, digital evidence analysis, and ethical hacking. The program emphasizes critical thinking and problem-solving, enabling students to investigate cyber incidents, design preventive strategies, and uphold data integrity in an increasingly digital world.

Graduates with a BS in Cybercrime can pursue various roles, such as Cybercrime investigator, Digital forensic analyst, Cybersecurity specialist, Information security analyst, Fraud detection and prevention officer. The degree also lays the groundwork for further studies in cybersecurity or specialized certifications in digital forensics and cyber law.

According to the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics (BLS), the median annual wage for information security analysts, a common career path for graduates of Southern New Hampshire University's Cybercrime (BS) program, was $124,910 in May 2024.
